Informaction
Monarfloor® Acoustic Batten System is designed to reduce sound transmission through both timber and concrete sub-floors and can be overlaid directly with an 18mm or 22mm chipboard deck.
When installed as part of a complete sound reduction system it enables a concrete or timber separating party floor to meet the sound transmission peformance of Approved Document E, of the Building Regulations and Section 5 of the Scottish Standards.
Monarfloor® Acoustic Batten can either be laid foam side up or down at the appropriate centres with a continuous run of batten 50mm in from all perimeter walls. It should then be overlaid with 18mm or 22mm tongue and grooved chipboard in a broken bond pattern with all joints glued.
