Nest Box 1B
The internal diameter of this nest box is 12cm. It is usually attached to a tree using the Aluminium Nail. It can also be hung from a branch.
The front panels, which can be bought separately, are interchangeable between model 1B, 2M and 2F, and can easily be removed from the nest box. Different entrance hole sizes are available to prevent birds from competing with one another for the boxes:-

Occupants
32mm hole is suitable for - Great-, Blue-, March-, Coal-, and Crested Tit, Redstart, Nuthatch, Collared and Pied Flycatcher, Wryneck, Tree and House Sparrows, and bats.
26mm hole is suitable for - Blue-, Marsh-, Coal- and Crested Tit, possibly Wren. All other species are prevented from using the nest box due to this smaller entrance hole.
Oval 29 x 55mm hole - suitable for Redstart; also used by species that nest in the 32mm boxes. However, because more light enters the brood chamber, it is preferred by Redstarts.
