CODE FOR SUSTAINABLE HOMES
Stroma Certification is approved by the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) to provide the training and certification required to become a Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH) assessor.
Training Courses
Stroma offers CLG-approved CSH Assessor training and CSH Designer Awareness training: CSH Assessor Training
This 3 day training course covers the requirements of the CSH in detail, exploring each section of the technical guidance and instructing candidates on how to accurately produce a Code assessment using our free user-friendly software. To qualify as an assessor, candidates must pass a multiple choice examination. This can be sat either on the final day of the course or on subsequent examination dates scheduled by Stroma.
Qualified assessors are also invited to join the Stroma certification scheme. Our experienced Code technical team are available to support assessors with lodgements and deal with enquiries.

- £145.00 minimum dwelling certification fee. (for 4 dwellings or less)
- £35.00 certification fee per dwelling (5 or more)

Free CSH CORE Software Stroma
Certification has developed a user-friendly CSH software package, CORE which is available free of charge to all registered Stroma assessors.
The key features of the software are:
- Simple assessment and report generation
- Pre-assessment report generation for planning submission
- The capacity to evaluate and assign the minimum requirements for each category based on the target CSH level
- The ability to create templates for dwellings, for repeat use in subsequent assessments.
